Live NOAA buoy map with 72-hour wave graphs, wind, and water temp
A world map with live ocean and lake buoy data from the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Updated about every 30 minutes.
Tap a buoy for a popup of current conditions, or open the full view for a closer look at that station. Wave buoys include a 72-hour wave height graph.
Buoy data includes (each buoy has a different set of instruments, so not all sensors apply to every buoy):
* Wind Direction
* Wind Speed
* Wind Gust Speed
* Wave Height
* Wave Height 72 Hour History (Graph)
* Dominant Wave Period
* Average Wave Period
* Wave Direction
* Air Pressure
* Air Pressure Trend
* Air Temperature
* Water Temperature
If location permission is granted, the map loads near your last known location. Otherwise it returns to the last place you viewed. If you go offline, the last loaded map stays on screen with a banner so you can refresh when you are back. The refresh icon follows the map’s light and dark theme.
